City National Bank of Florida Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating City National Bank of Florida (“CNBF”), for a data breach of over 40,000 individuals’ personal information.  On or around May 29, 2023 an unauthorized third party breached CNBF’s computer system, stealing individuals’ personal information, including their first and last name, dateof birth, bank account number, Social Security Number, email and mailing addresses. CNBF recently began informing individuals of this breach in June and July 2023 through a written notification letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
