On October April 12, 2024, TRC noted suspicious activity on its computer systems related to the encryption of certain files contained on its network.  A subsequent investigation discovered that a hacker had accessed and acquired the personally identifiable information of 158,593 individuals from March 25, 2024, to April 12, 2024. The compromised information includes, but may not be limited to, full names and Social Security numbers.

All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims.
