Endocrine and Psychiatry Center Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Endocrine and Psychiatry Center data breach investigation, for a data breach affecting 28,531 individuals and their personal information.

Recently, the Endocrine and Psychiatry Center, with clinics in Houston and Katy, TX, became aware of a network disruption that occurred sometime prior to March 20, 2023, by which unauthorized access to its data was obtained. Member information was impacted. This information may include full name, Social Security number, driver’s license or other government identification number, date of birth, financial account information, credit or debit card information, treatment/ diagnosis information, and health insurance information.

The Endocrine and Psychiatry Center recently began informing individuals of this breach through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
