Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare for a data breach of its customers’ personal information.  From March 28 to April 17, 2023, an unauthorized third party breached Harvard Pilgrim’s computer system, stealing customer’s personal information, including an individual’s name, physical address, date of birth, Social Security number, and clinical information (e.g., medical history, diagnoses, treatment, and provider names). Harvard Pilgrim recently began informing customers of this breach through a website notice and a written notification letter.

All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web.
