Camping World and Good Sam Data Breach

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating CWGS Group, also known as Camping World Good Sam, for a data breach.  Camping World and Good Sam (“Camping World”) recently sent a data breach notice to affected consumers.  Hackers accessed Camping World’s system from January 14, 2022 through February 13, 2022.  Camping World has reported that the data breach included consumer names, Social Security numbers (SSN), drivers license numbers, and credit or debit card numbers.

Given how long it has been since the breach, hackers may have already been able to sell the data or otherwise benefit from the fraudulent misuse of such information. People affected by the data breach may have already noticed (or may soon notice) one or more of the following types of fraudulent activity: tax fraud, including theft of a tax return; unauthorized credit card inquiries or charges; or requests for loans or benefits in an individual’s name without their consent.
