Keystone Health Data Breach

Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating the Franklin County, Pennsylvania-based healthcare nonproft Keystone Rural Health Center, which does business as Keystone Health (“Keystone Health”).  From approximately July 28, 2022, to August 19, 2022, an unauthorized third party had access to patient information in Keystone Health servers.  The compromised information includes patient names, Social Security numbers, and clinical information.

Keystone health has recently begun to send affected patients notice of the breach. Given how long it has been since the breach, hackers may have already been able to sell the data or otherwise benefit from the fraudulent misuse of such information. People affected by the data breach may have already noticed (or may soon notice) one or more of the following types of fraudulent activity related to their personal and health information: unauthorized credit card inquiries or charges, requests for loans or benefits in an individual’s name without their consent, inaccurate information in one’s medical file, or disrupted use of an institution’s website.

Have you received a data breach notification letter from Keystone Health?

If so, we would like to hear from you.  Please complete the contact form on this page, send us an email at [email protected], or give us a call at (202) 470-3520.
