Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating the Chapel Hill, North Carolina, based healthcare provider Eventus WholeHealth (“Eventus”). On June 1, 2022, Eventus uncovered suspicious activity on one of its email accounts. As the investigation is unfolding, Eventus is notifying individuals that their data has been compromised, as it becomes aware of them.
Based on other, similar data breaches, people affected by this data breach may have already noticed (or may soon notice) one or more of the following types of fraudulent activity related to their personal and health information: unauthorized credit card inquiries or charges, requests for loans or benefits in an individual’s name without their consent, inaccurate information in one’s medical file, or disrupted use of an institution’s website.
