Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating a potential inner display defect affecting Apple’s new iPhone Duo foldable smartphones, including reports of screens cracking, breaking, or developing bright horizontal lines near the phone’s hinge.
The iPhone Duo, released on October 23, 2026, starts at approximately $1,999. Within days of its release, some owners reported that the inner folding screen became damaged during use, with bright horizontal lines appearing near the hinge. On October 26, Apple acknowledged an issue affecting the inner displays of a small number of iPhone Duo units and advised affected customers to contact AppleCare for a replacement.
Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether certain iPhone Duo devices contain a defect involving the folding display or hinge mechanism that may cause the screen to fail prematurely, potentially leaving consumers with an unusable display or expensive repair costs.
