Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether NuStrips misleads consumers about the effectiveness of its dissolvable vitamin and supplement strips, including its Sleep In A Strip, Energy In A Strip, and Essentials In A Strip products.
NuStrips markets its products as an alternative to traditional vitamins and supplements. Rather than swallowing a pill or chewing a gummy, consumers place a small strip on their tongue, where it dissolves in seconds. NuStrips claims the strips provide “5x Faster Absorption” and “85% Higher Bioavailability” compared with conventional supplements. NuStrip’s claims suggest that consumers receive substantially greater benefits from NuStrips than from ordinary supplements.
However, a supplement dissolving in the mouth quickly does not necessarily establish that its active ingredients will produce the advertised effects within minutes. Other ingredients may be swallowed with saliva and absorbed through the digestive system, much like conventional supplements.
Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether NuStrips accurately represents its products’ absorption speed and advertised benefits.
Consumers May Have Experienced:
- No noticeable difference in effectiveness compared with conventional vitamin pills, gummies, or supplements;
- Sleep, energy, or other benefits being slower-than-advertised;
- Paying more for NuStrips than for comparable supplements because of their advertised advantages/benefits.
Potential Claims May Include:
- False or misleading advertising due to representations that NuStrips absorbs five times faster or provides substantially greater bioavailability than traditional supplements;
- Misrepresentation of product benefits;
- Misleading scientific representations;
- Consumer-protection law violations.
Signs You May Be Affected:
- You purchased NuStrips products after relying on representations about faster absorption, increased bioavailability, and/or superior effectiveness.
