Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating a potential auxiliary-power wiring defect affecting certain 2024–2026 Storyteller Overland GXV Hilt vehicles.

In affected vehicles, wiring associated with the auxiliary-power system may come into contact with the engine intake manifold. Continued contact can damage the wiring insulation, potentially allowing the wiring to short circuit or overheat and creating a risk of fire.

Because the affected wiring is located near engine components, owners may not recognize the problem until the insulation has already been damaged or an electrical problem develops.

Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether Storyteller Overland GXV Hilt owners have experienced damaged wiring, electrical shorts, overheating, burning odors, smoke, fire, or repairs associated with the routing of the auxiliary-power wiring.

Owners May Have Experienced:

Auxiliary-power wiring rubbing against the intake manifold;
Frayed, worn, melted, or otherwise damaged wire insulation;
Electrical shorts or unexplained electrical failures;
Burning or electrical odors from the engine compartment;
Smoke or fire; or
Repairs involving rerouting or protecting the affected wiring.

Potential Claims May Include:

Defective wiring installation;
Inadequate protection or routing of electrical wiring;
Failure to adequately warn consumers;
Breach of express or implied warranties;
Property damage and loss of use; and
Violations of applicable consumer-protection laws.
