Lucid Air Gen-4 Inverter Failure Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating a potential inverter defect affecting certain 2024–2025 Lucid Air rear-wheel-drive vehicles that may result in sudden loss of drive power.

Approximately 2,039 Lucid Air vehicles are affected by a problem involving the Gen-4 inverter. Internal friction may damage the inverter and cause the vehicle to lose propulsion. The initial remedy involves software monitoring, with inverter replacement if a potential failure is detected.

Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether owners have experienced inverter failures, propulsion loss, warning messages, repeated service visits, or concerns that monitoring alone does not adequately address the underlying hardware problem.

Owners May Have Experienced:

  • Sudden or intermittent loss of drive power;
  • Drive-system or inverter warning messages;
  • The vehicle entering a reduced-power condition;
  • Inverter replacement or other substantial drivetrain repairs;
  • Repeated dealership or service-center visits; or
  • Being told that software monitoring would be used rather than immediately replacing the affected inverter.

Potential Claims May Include:

  • Defective inverter components;
  • Breach of warranty;
  • Failure to provide an adequate remedy;
  • Loss of use;
  • Diminished vehicle value; and
  • Violations of applicable consumer-protection laws.

Signs You May Be Affected:

  • You own or lease a 2024–2025 Lucid Air RWD;
  • Your vehicle is affected by the Gen-4 inverter recall;
  • You experienced unexpected loss of propulsion;
  • Your vehicle displayed inverter or drive-system warnings;
  • Your inverter required replacement; or
  • Your vehicle is currently being monitored for a potential inverter failure.
