Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Kisco Senior Living, LLC (“Kisco”) data breach investigation, for a data breach affecting 26,663 individuals and their personal information.
On June 6, 2023, Kisco experienced a disruption to its computer network. After conducting a subsequent investigation, Kisco discovered that a cybercriminal had accessed its network and potentially acquired files containing the confidential information of its clients on or about June 6, 2023. The compromised information includes names and Social Security numbers.
Kisco Senior Living, LLC recently began informing individuals of these breaches through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
