Mortgage Servicer Junk Fees Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating mortgage servicer junk fees, where mortgage servicers place unreasonably heavy fines and fees upon homeowners, for a variety of dubious reasons, including allegedly late payments, superfluous insurance requirements, and onerous inspections.

Homeowners have reported that mortgage servicers often misuse their positions in order to levy arbitrary rules against them and then punish them via excessive fines. Other times, mortgage servicers will impose force-placed insurance on homeowners who maintain proper coverage, significantly increasing their mortgage payments and pushing them towards the possibility of foreclosure. Often, consumers have stated that servicers will threaten and wrongfully sue homeowners for foreclosure, threatening massive financial damage and potential homelessness.

Have you experienced mortgage abuse from your mortgage servicer in the last three years?
