Countries across Europe have tested these devices for radiation and have found that these phones emit radiation above the limits set by the European Union. Several countries including France and Belgium have asked Apple to upgrade its software to ensure that emittance levels are compliant with European regulations.
Apple has not released the same software update within the US, meaning that the iPhone 12 may still be emitting harmful radiation that can cause harm to its US users.
