Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating the data breach of Mom’s Meal’s (part of PurFoods, LLC). The data breach impacted over 1,200,000 individuals’ personal information. Between January 16, 2023, and February 22, 2023, an unauthorized third party breached PurFoods’s computer system, stealing individuals’ personal information, including their name, Social
Security number, driver’s license/state identification number, financial account and/or payment
card information, medical information, health information, and date of birth. PurFoods, LLC recently began informing individuals on or about August 25, 2023, through a written notification letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
