Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating NextGen Healthcare, Inc., for a data breach. NextGen provides healthcare administrative services. From about March 29 to April 14, 2023, an unauthorized actor gained access to NextGen’s computer servers. From there, the hacker was able to take the data of thousands of patients. The taken data included patients’ names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers (SSNs).
All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web.
