Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, 3, & 2 Cracked Hinges

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Samsung over reports of a defect involving the hinged screens in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, 3, & 2 smartphones. Samsung marketed these devices as durable, foldable phones and emphasized the perks that come with them being collapsible, namely a larger screen than their non-foldable counterparts.  Consumers anticipated that the hinged screen would, therefore, hold up to normal use. Instead, purchasers express disappointment in shared experiences with inexplicable hinge cracking, causing severe and permanent functional impairment of the phones’ screens. Many even share that their phones’ hinges snapped within hours of use. Other consumers report that their screens develop a permanent line along the hinge, which obscures the display. As a result, the phones lose substantial utility and stray far from advertised standards.

Despite being made aware of this defect impacting its consumer base, Samsung has failed to address and offer remediation in response to the reports. Migliaccio & Rathod believes that Samsung should be held accountable for taking relevant action to compensate their customers for this deception in marketing in its Galaxy Z Fold 4, 3, and 2 Phones.
