Broken and Loose Charging Port on MSI Laptops

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating the electronics manufacturer MSI over reports that various models of their laptops experience loose and broken charging ports. The faulty charging port substantially diminishes the functionality of the MSI laptops and causes them to fail to charge when plugged in.

Several models, including the GF75 Thin, GF65 Thin, GL65, and GE75 Raider, are subject to this defect. Owners of these laptops report that once their charging ports loosen or break they are no longer able to fully plug in their charging cables and are often forced to put pressure on or hold the charger at different angles to begin charging their laptops. These are temporary solutions, as once this defect manifests the only true fix is to replace the charging port. MSI, in not taking action to address and solve the issue of defective charging ports in these laptops, places the burden of their own manufacturing failures directly on MSI laptop owners who have wasted time and resources searching for solutions.
