M2 MacBook Pro Overheating Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating the M2-equipped MacBook Pro for overheating issues. Apple’s Pro-line of laptops is intended for users whose workflow require capable CPU and GPU performance. Pushing internal components with tasks that take full advantage of those components generates heat inside the device. Absent adequate cooling solutions, such as through the use of heat sinks, thermal paste, or fans, internal components overheat, which leads to thermal throttling in order to prevent damage, or further damage, to those internal components. The M2-equipped MacBook Pro has one fan, which user complaints suggest may not be enough to cool the device. Reports of thermal throttling, and resulting decreased performance, have been reported online by M2-equipped MacBook Pro owners.
