Howard Student Files Class Action Suit to Address Mold in Housing

On Oct. 26, 2021, first-year Howard University student Kaedriana Turenne filed a putative class action lawsuit against Corvias, LLC (and related Corvias entities), as well as Howard University, arising from widespread mold contamination in her residence. The plaintiff resides in Baldwin Hall in the Harriet Tubman Quadrangle (the “Quad”). The scope of the class is presently limited to other residents on her floor in Baldwin Hall but the Complaint explicitly leaves open the possibility of expanding to other floors and buildings as the case develops and more information becomes available. The filed Complaint is available here. Ms. Turenne and the putative class are represented by Migliaccio & Rathod LLP.
