ASUS Strix Vega 64 VRM Heat Management Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating computer hardware company ASUS for complaints of poor heat management in its Strix Vega 64 graphics card, resulting in endemic overheating. The most common grievance concerns voltage regulator temperatures, which hit upwards of 115°C during standard use. Consumers’ investigations into the issue revealed a stock thermal pad that was both misaligned and too small to cover the card’s baseplate. Some tech-savvy buyers have suggested an at-home fix, but this requires substantial time, effort, and technical skill. As a result, most are left an expensive, “high-end” product that nonetheless suffers from widespread thermal throttling and diminished performance.
