Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating developer Exozet for failing to provide a functioning multiplayer option, as advertised, for the video game Catan Universe. Catan Universe is billed as an online version of the popular board game Settlers of Catan in which users can “[p]lay anytime, anywhere — against all Catan players worldwide.” Catan Universe players, however, consistently experience crashed matches, premature ejection from the game, frozen screens, and replacement by AI players. Moreover, such problems result in a penalty to player score/rank, despite no fault on the players’ part. Gamers who have tried to receive a refund, as a result of these myriad problems, have been unable to do so.
