Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating reports of systemic wiring issues with Whirlpool and Maytag refrigerators, where consumers say that through prolonged usage, wiring in the door frays and breaks, leading to issues with the icemaker, water dispenser, and a variety of other functions.
Customers have reported that the wires can fail in under 2 years of usage, and cannot be truly fixed without a remarkably cost prohibitive replacement of the entire fridge door. Whirlpool has not acknowledged the defect, despite experts stating that the issue most likely has arisen due to factory design or assembly problems.
Have you purchased a Whirlpool or Maytag Refrigerator that has suffered the wiring defect?
If so, we would like to hear from you. Please complete the questionnaire below. If you’d like further information please send an email to [email protected] or give us a call at (202) 470-3520.
