Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Brandywine Urology Consultants for failure to adequately safeguard patients’ Protected Health Information (PHI), resulting in a data breach. The healthcare provider discovered a ransomware infection in their network on January 27th, and claimed to immediately isolate and neutralize the intrusion. While a later investigation into the attack seemed to indicate the assailants’ goal was to cripple Brandywine’s network and extract payment, it is nonetheless possible that patient’s PHI was compromised during the attack.

- Claims Data
- Financial Data
Brandywine has notified their 131,825 patients of the attack and the risk of their PHI having been compromised.
