Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating the 2019-2020 Toyota RAV4 for advertising a false fuel capacity in its vehicle. Owners report that they cannot fill up their vehicles up to the advertised 14.5 gallons, even after filling up well after the low fuel has lit up. The most owners are able to top up is 9.5 to 10 gallons, which, according to one owner, amounts to as much as 140 miles less range than the vehicle should otherwise have. The inability to top up their vehicles has led some owners to wonder whether to ignore the automatic shut-off in the gas station pump and continue manually pumping fuel into the vehicle.
