Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Princess Cruises over concerns that passengers may not have received refunds for certain taxes and port-related fees after their ships skipped scheduled destinations.
Princess Cruise fares may include government taxes and fees associated with planned port visits. When a ship cancels a scheduled stop, some of these charges may no longer be incurred.
In July 2026, Cruise Critic reported that Princess Cruises had changed its approach to missed-port refunds and no longer automatically refunded certain port taxes and fees when a scheduled stop was canceled without replacement.
Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether passengers were adequately informed of Princess Cruises’ policy and whether retaining certain amounts complies with applicable consumer protection laws and cruise agreements.
