Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether Terminix improperly billed customers for pest-control services it never performed or failed to provide treatments customers had already paid for.
Terminix, part of Rentokil, provides pest-control services to residential and commercial customers across the United States. Public consumer complaints raise concerns about customers being billed despite missed appointments, canceled work orders, or incomplete treatments.
In June 2026, a customer filed a Better Business Bureau complaint disputing a charge of more than $1,700 for work the customer said had never occurred. In its June 29 response, Rentokil-Terminix acknowledged that it should have canceled the work order and that no services were performed. The company stated that it had requested removal of the $1,761.35 balance.
In another 2026 complaint, a residential customer reported paying for rodent-control services but not receiving promised follow-up visits. Terminix acknowledged failures to check traps and provide follow-up service and approved a refund.
Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether Terminix’s billing and scheduling systems adequately ensure that customers receive the services for which they are charged.
