Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether Miracle-Ear improperly denied refunds to customers who bought expensive hearing aids that did not meet their needs.
In February and June 2026, ABC7 Chicago reported complaints from Illinois customers who paid approximately $6,700 to $8,000 for Miracle-Ear hearing aids. The customers said the devices did not work as expected, even after repeated adjustments. One customer reported bringing the problem to the store’s attention during the advertised return period but was encouraged to keep adjusting until the return window passed. The customers eventually received refunds or had their financing canceled after the news station intervened.
Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether some Miracle-Ear customers are being encouraged to keep troubleshooting their devices instead of receiving refunds they may be entitled to.
