Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether Revlon ColorSilk with Bond Repair Complex was marketed using misleading claims about its ability to repair damaged hair and improve hair smoothness and silkiness.
Revlon has advertised ColorSilk as repairing hair “from the inside out” and making hair up to 94% smoother and silkier. However, in January 2026, the National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Revlon’s evidence did not adequately support the broad inside-out hair repair claim. NAD also questioned the smoothness and silkiness advertising because the supporting tests involved wet hair, while the advertisements could lead consumers to expect similar improvements in dry hair.
Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether consumers purchased Revlon ColorSilk based on exaggerated hair-repair and smoothing claims and paid for benefits that the product may not deliver as advertised.
