Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports of potential fuel mixer and fuel-control system defects affecting certain 2025–2026 Generac Next Generation home standby generators.
Generac’s Next Generation platform includes air-cooled home standby generators ranging from approximately 10 to 28 kW. These generators are designed to automatically provide backup electricity when utility power is lost.
Recent reports from generator technicians describe problems involving fuel mixers, fuel sensors, fuel shutoff assemblies, ECM components, and related fuel-control equipment on some early Next Generation units. One technician reported multiple mixer replacements among Generac Next Generation generators serviced by the technician’s company, while other reports describe early units receiving replacement ECMs, wiring components, or fuel-system parts. Technicians have also reported that a revised mixer may have been introduced for some affected generators. Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether certain early-production Generac Next Generation generators contain a common fuel-control component that can fail and prevent the generator from reliably operating when backup power is needed. The underlying manufacturer bulletin referenced in technician reports has not yet been independently confirmed. Pasted markdown
