Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that Andersen 100 Series windows may experience premature insulated glass seal failures, allowing moisture to enter between the panes of glass and causing persistent fogging, cloudiness, or condensation.
Andersen markets its 100 Series windows as durable, energy-efficient products that incorporate insulated glass units designed to provide long-term performance. However, some homeowners have reported that the insulated glass seals failed years before they expected, allowing moisture to enter the sealed glass unit. Once a seal fails, the moisture often cannot be cleaned from the inside or outside of the window because it is trapped between the panes.
This investigation concerns premature insulated-glass seal failures and is separate from investigations involving window sash, frame, or hardware defects.
