On December 21, 2024, Iannuzzi, Manetta & Co., PC discovered suspicious activity on certain computer systems within its environment. Subsequently, Iannuzzi, Manetta & Co., PC conducted an investigation, which uncovered a cybercriminal had stolen the personally identifiable information contained therein on August 1, 2024. According to Iannuzzi, Manetta & Co., PC the compromised information taken during the data breach includes the following sensitive data:
- driver’s license number,
- Social Security Number,
- health insurance policy information,
- medical record number
- patient account number,
- financial account number
Iannuzzi, Manetta & Co., PC recently mailed notice of the data breach to impacted parties. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. As is likely to be the case with the Iannuzzi, Manetta & Co., PC data breach, in previous cyberattacks, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
