Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating the Hippo Analytics Data Breach, impacting over 38,000 individuals and their personal information.

What Happened?

On August 3, 2026, Hippo Analytics became aware of suspicious activity in its network. Hippo Analytics conducted an investigation and discovered that certain files may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized actor between January 30, 2025, and August 3, 2026. The impacted data may include the following sensitive information:

  • Names
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Dates of birth

The Hippo Analytics Breach

Hippo Analytics provided a general notice of the data breach, but they did not specifically notify affected individuals because they could not definitively determine which specific individuals’ data was affected. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In similar cyberattacks, victims have reported identity theft attempts, fraudulent charges, unauthorized new accounts, misuse of medical or government services, dark web exposure, and increased spam communications.
