Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that certain Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo pizza ovens may experience heating-element or temperature problems that prevent the appliance from reaching or maintaining expected cooking temperatures.
The Pizzaiolo is a premium countertop pizza oven marketed as capable of reaching approximately 750°F and recreating the intense heat needed for high-temperature pizza cooking.
Some consumers, however, have reported problems involving heating performance, temperature consistency, or heating elements that no longer operate as expected, potentially preventing the oven from delivering the performance for which it was purchased.
Consumers Report:
- ovens failing to reach their expected maximum temperature;
- unusually long preheating times;
- temperatures dropping or fluctuating during cooking;
- top or bottom heating elements becoming weak or failing;
- unevenly cooked pizzas;
- performance deteriorating after a period of ownership; and
- needing repair or replacement because of heating-related problems.
For consumers who paid a premium for an oven specifically designed around high-temperature pizza cooking, the inability to reliably generate that heat may substantially reduce the product’s value.
Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether affected Breville Pizzaiolo ovens share a common problem involving their heating elements, temperature sensors, electronic controls, or other components responsible for regulating high-temperature cooking.
Potential Claims May Include:
- defective heating elements;
- defective temperature sensors or controls;
- breach of express or implied warranty;
- misleading representations concerning temperature capabilities;
- failure to provide an effective repair or replacement; and
- unfair or deceptive trade practices.
Signs You May Be Affected:
- You purchased a Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo;
- your oven no longer reaches the temperatures it reached when new;
- the oven fails to approach its advertised maximum temperature;
- a top or bottom heating element stopped operating properly;
- your oven heats substantially slower or less evenly than expected;
- Breville repaired or replaced your oven because of a heating problem; or
