Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that Framebridge custom framing services may damage, improperly mount, or otherwise alter customers’ artwork despite marketing professional-quality framing and preservation services.
Consumers use Framebridge to frame original artwork, limited-edition prints, family photographs, diplomas, and other valuable or sentimental items with the expectation that they will be handled carefully and returned in the same condition. Some consumers, however, report receiving artwork that was damaged during the framing process, improperly mounted, returned with broken glazing, or framed using methods they did not expect.
What Consumers Report
Consumers report:
- Artwork arriving with scratches, creases, bends, or other physical damage.
- Frames arriving with cracked acrylic or damaged corners.
- Artwork shifting or becoming misaligned inside the frame.
- Prints or photographs being mounted using adhesive or other permanent methods.
- Dust, debris, or fingerprints sealed inside completed frames.
- Receiving the wrong frame, mat, or design configuration.
- Artwork being lost or delayed while in Framebridge’s possession.
- Customer service denying responsibility or offering only limited reimbursement.
Why Consumers Should Be Concerned
Consumers often trust Framebridge with artwork that is valuable, sentimental, or impossible to replace. They reasonably expect that custom framing services will preserve—not damage—the artwork they submit.
If artwork is improperly mounted, permanently adhered to backing materials, damaged during handling, or returned in a different condition than expected, consumers may suffer permanent losses that cannot easily be repaired or reversed. Consumers also pay premium prices for professional framing services and may not receive the quality of workmanship they were promised.
This investigation seeks to determine whether Framebridge adequately disclosed its mounting methods, properly handled customers’ artwork, and delivered framing services consistent with its advertising and consumer expectations.
