Parlux “Intense” Fragrance Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether certain Parlux fragrances marketed as “Eau de Parfum,” “Parfum,” “Intense,” or similar premium concentrations provide the strength, longevity, or formulation consumers reasonably expect.

Consumer fragrance guides commonly explain that eau de parfum generally contains more fragrance oil than eau de toilette and is often richer, longer lasting, and more expensive.

What Consumers Report

Consumers may report:

  • Purchasing “Intense” or “Parfum” versions expecting stronger performance.
  • Paying more than standard versions.
  • Experiencing weak projection or short wear time.
  • Believing the concentration label reflected a materially higher fragrance load.

Why Consumers Should Be Concerned

Consumers often pay more for products labeled as “Intense,” “Parfum,” or “Eau de Parfum” because they expect better performance. If those products perform like weaker concentrations or lack the expected fragrance intensity, consumers may have paid more than the product was worth.

Potential claims may include:

  • False advertising
  • Misleading performance representations
  • Breach of express warranty
  • Price-premium injury

Signs You May Be Affected

  • You purchased a Parlux fragrance labeled Intense, Parfum, or Eau de Parfum.
  • You expected stronger or longer-lasting performance.
  • You paid more than the standard version.
