On November 6, 2024, Ahold Delhaize USA Services, LLC (“Ahold Delhaize USA“), an entity that provides support services to Ahold Delhaize USA companies (such as Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, Stop & Shop, ADUSA Distribution, and ADUSA Transportation), discovered unauthorized access into its internal business systems within the United States. Ahold Delhaize USA’s subsequent investigation uncovered a cybercriminal had stolen the personally identifiable information of its current and former employees and their family members between November 5, 2024, and November 6, 2024. The compromised information may include the following sensitive data:
- contact information (such as full names, physical addresses, email addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers)
- Social Security numbers
- driver’s license numbers
- passport numbers
- financial account information (such as bank account numbers)
