Serviceaide Data Breach Investigation

Serviceaide Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Serviceaide Data Breach Investigation, regarding a breach that impacted an unknown number of individuals and their personal information.

On or around November 15, 2024, Serviceaide learned that information on its internal search network was inadvertently made publicly available. Serviceaide subsequently conducted an investigation, which determined that such information was publicly available on and able to be copied between September 19, 2024, and November 5, 2024. Although the exact nature of the personal information involved in the data breach varies by person, the compromised information includes the following sensitive data:

  •  name,
  • Social Security number,
  • date of birth,
  • medical record number,
  • patient account number, medical/health information,
  • health insurance information,
  • prescription/treatment information,
  • clinical information,
  • provider name,
  • provider location, and
  • email/username and password.

Serviceaide Data Breach

Serviceaide recently provided notice of the data breach. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. As is likely to be the case with the Serviceaide data breach, in previous cyberattacks, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
