The reviews of this product were immediately negative, and it is clear that the company over-promised and under-delivered by a wide margin. The rabbit r1 debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show early this year. In January, Rabbit’s CEO showcased the device. Given the keynote demo slot, he “showed the R1 answering philosophical questions, checking stock prices, looking up information about movies, playing music on Spotify, booking an Uber, ordering a pizza, and planning a vacation (complete with flights and hotel reservations).”
What consumers received was far from this. Instead, the device launched with only four apps – Uber, Doordash, Spotify, and Midjourney. Many reviewers are complaining about wildly inaccurate answers that the rabbit’s AI provides. For instance, one reviewer noted that it identified a dog as a tomato, a red bell pepper, and various other non-canine items.
