Precision Imaging Center Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Precision Imaging Center for a data breach of 31,010 customers’ personal information.  On November 2, 2022, an unauthorized third party breached Precision Imaging Center’s computer system, stealing customer’s personal information, including an individual’s first and last name, address, Social Security number, driver’s license or government-issued identification number, health insurance information, medical condition(s) and diagnoses, or other health- or medical-related information, and dates of birth. Precision Imaging Center recently began informing customers of this breach in June 2023 through a written notification letter.

All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
