Data Breach

PharMerica, Healthcare Data Breach Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating PharMerica for a data breach of its customers’ personal information.  On March 12, 2023, an unauthorized third party breached PharMerica’s computer system, stealing customer’s personal information from the company.  This information may include an individual’s name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, diagnosis/condition, health insurance information, medical information, claims information, prescription information, medical record number, and Medicare/Medicaid identification number. PharMerica informed its customers of this breach through a notification letter.

All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web.
