Migliaccio & Rathod, LLP, is investigating New Enchantment Group, LLC (“New Enchantment”) for releasing sensitive customer information in a data breach. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, New Enchantment owns and runs hotels and resorts. On or around October 4, 2022 to October 5, 2022,, an unauthorized third party hacked into New Enchantment’s servers, gaining access to customer names & Social Security numbers (SSNs). New Enchantment discovered the breach on or around December 9, 2022, but is only now notifying affected individuals.
Because of the gap between incident, discovery, and disclosure, affected individuals’ data may already be for sale on the dark web. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, medical and/or government services ordered in their name, or their information being posted on the dark web.
