Hair Relaxer Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating L’Oreal USA Inc and other companies following numerous claims from women who, after using these companies’ hair relaxing products, say they developed uterine cancer and other health problems as a result of this chemical exposure. In fact, court records show that at least 54 cases have been filed in federal courts across the country related to these products, which purport to permanently straighten textured hair. These suits follow the October release of a study done by The National Institutes of Health whose findings suggest that women who used hair relaxing products several times a year were more than twice as likely to develop uterine cancer than those who did not.

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP believes that companies responsible for manufacturing products which cause or increase risks of negative health outcomes ought to be held accountable for this failure to properly warn of and safeguard consumers from potential or likely health risks.

Did you purchase hair relaxers when you would not have if you had been told the potential risks to your health? Did you develop uterine cancer or suffer from any other injury after using hair relaxer products?

If so, we would like to hear from you! Please complete the questionnaire on this page, send an email to [email protected], or give us a call at (202) 470-3520.
