Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating the 2022 Mazda3 Airbag Defect. Mazda3 owners report see a message on their dashboard that reads: “Air Bag System Malfunction. Have the Vehicle Inspected.” A message may come through on owners’ Mazda app that reads: “Air bag system and seat belt pre-tensioner system malfunction. Vehicle airbags and seat belt pre-tensioner may not operate correctly in an emergency. Have the vehicle inspected by your dealer.” Mazda released a Manufacturer Communication that states seat wiring connecting mating terminals to the side air bag module connector may become disrupted when the occupant moves around in the seat. Risks of this faulty connection include airbags that randomly deploy or that do not deploy at all in a collision.
