Uncompensated Meal Breaks at United Medical Center Class Action Investigation

The law firm of Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating reports of wage theft by United Medical Center Hospital. Nurses and other hourly employees report that, due to the demanding nature of their job, they miss their meal breaks. Despite this, they are deducted a half-hour’s wages from their pay to reflect the time for a meal break, even when they did not take one. The United Medical Center has a system in place to automatically deduct these wages, but not one for employees to reverse the deduction and receive the wages that they worked for.
