Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Enterprise Financial Group, Inc. data breach Investigation, for a data breach affecting 19,272 people and their personal information.
The Enterprise Financial Group, Inc. Data Breach
On February 18, 2024, Enterprise Financial Group, Inc. (“EFG”) learned that it had fallen victim to a cyberattack. EFG’s subsequent investigation into the data breach uncovered that a hacker had accessed and copied files containing sensitive information housed within its network on February 18, 2024. According to EFG, the compromised information includes full names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, bank account or payment card numbers, medical information, and/or insurance information. The EFG data breach is significant and may result in serious harm to the affected individuals.
Enterprise Financial Group, Inc, recently began informing individuals of these breaches through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
