Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating medical and dental supplies provider Henry Schein, Inc. for a data breach of at least 29,912 individuals’ personal information. Sometime between September 27th and October 14th, 2023, an unauthorized third party breached Henry Schein’s computer system, stealing individuals’ personal information, including their names, payment card information, and Social Security numbers. Henry Schein recently began informing individuals of this breach through a written notification letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
