Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating the 2022 Honda Civic for reported problems with its driver assistance technologies. At issue are the vehicle’s cruise control system and its automatic emergency brake (AEB) feature. Regarding the vehicle’s cruise control, customers report that they will lose cruise control functionality spontaneously or after making a turn and are unable to reactivate it unless they turn the vehicle off completely. Regarding the vehicle’s AEB feature, customers report that their vehicle stop without reason, when no object is present to merit an emergency brake. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is looking into this AEB issue in other Honda models of recent model years, so the issue may be persisting into this newest generation Civic.
