Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Jones Soda Co. (Mary Jones THC Soda) over concerns involving the labeling, ingredients, and sale of certain hemp-derived THC beverages.
Mary Jones THC Soda includes hemp-infused soft drinks offered in traditional soda flavors. On May 30, 2024, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued a public warning advising consumers not to drink certain Jones Soda Co. hemp-infused sodas.
According to CDPH, laboratory testing identified prohibited Delta-9 THC isolate ingredients in the products, and the agency determined that the beverages were improperly labeled and violated California law. The warning identified multiple flavors containing 5 mg or 10 mg of THC, including Orange & Cream and Berry Lemonade. CDPH warned that Jones Soda Co. products could expose consumers to unintended intoxication or other health risks.
