Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that certain Polaris XPEDITION side-by-side vehicles may experience recurring vibration, rattling, or driveline noise involving the front prop shaft or related drivetrain components.
Owners have reported these problems across several model years, with some describing dealers replacing or balancing prop shafts and other components only for the vibration or rattle to return shortly afterward.
Because Polaris XPEDITION vehicles can cost tens of thousands of dollars, repeated driveline problems may leave owners facing substantial repair costs or considering expensive aftermarket solutions after factory repairs fail to provide a lasting fix.
Consumers Report:
- vibration or rattling from the prop shaft or driveline;
- noise that increases at certain speeds;
- dealer replacement of the front prop shaft;
- installation of an updated or superseded shaft;
- balancing or adjustment of drivetrain components;
- the vibration returning shortly after repair;
- repeated dealer visits for the same problem; and
- considering or purchasing an expensive aftermarket driveshaft because factory repairs did not solve the issue.
Some owner reports describe the same rattle returning within 50 to 100 miles after repair, while others reference a Polaris internal “Team Tip” concerning the condition.
Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating whether affected Polaris XPEDITION vehicles share a common problem involving the prop shaft, carrier bearing, drivetrain geometry, yoke, alignment, or related components, and whether owners have received an adequate repair.
Potential Claims May Include:
- defective drivetrain or prop-shaft design;
- defective components;
- breach of express or implied warranty;
- failure to provide an effective repair;
- failure to adequately disclose a recurring driveline problem;
- unfair or deceptive trade practices; and
- repair or diminished-value damages.
Signs You May Be Affected:
- You own or previously owned a Polaris XPEDITION;
- your vehicle developed persistent driveline vibration or rattling;
- a dealer diagnosed the front prop shaft or related drivetrain components;
- Polaris replaced or balanced your prop shaft;
- the problem returned shortly after repair;
- you made multiple dealer visits for the same vibration; or
- you paid for or considered an aftermarket prop shaft because the factory repair did not solve the problem.
